Health Balls

Everyone needs their own health ball recipe, am I right? I’ve seen so many versions and they all look wonderful.

The only thing is – I needed a recipe that I could get my little food critics to love too!

Well, I think I’ve found it.

peanut butter health energy balls

2 Cups of Oats (I love Bob’s Red Mill!)

1 Tbsp. Flaxseed (I had to use these sparingly to keep them covert from the kids!)

1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

1 tsp. Cinnamon

1 tsp. Chocolate Protein Powder

2 Scoops of Justin’s Hazelnut Spread (This spread is amazing! It is very low in sugar making it my #1 choice at home.)

4 Scoops of Peanut Butter

1/2 Cup of Shredded Coconut

1/2 Cup of Chocolate Chips

Lightly drizzle honey

Tips for Preparation & Storage from our friends at HealthBody.TV:

  1. When rolling the balls – put some coconut oil on your hands to keep the balls from sticking to you.
  2. Make a large batch on Sunday to last you for the whole week. If you aren’t a big breakfast person (me either) – but it was easy to have one or two of these on my way to work in the morning.
  3. Keep the health balls refrigerated for freshness.
